Cara Howard, MA, LPCC, RPT

Cara Howard a Mental Health Professional who is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from Bethel University. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Cara has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient mental health setting, as well as having been a mobile crisis assessor in the surrounding five county area. Cara is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and has also participated in specialized training to provide DC: 0-5 Assessments for children birth to six years old. Cara is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and is participating in the Train the Trainer series through DHS to become an agency trainer for CPP.
Cara provides outpatient mental health services at Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. with a special interest in individual counseling with SPMI populations, Developmental Delay, Autism/Aspergers, Traumatic Brain Injury, and young children and their families.
