Cara Howard, MA, LPCC, RPT

Cara Howard is a Mental Health Professional and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from Bethel University.  She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. 

Cara is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and has also participated in specialized training to provide DC: 0-5 Assessments for children birth to six years old. Cara has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and completed the 30-month long CPP Agency Mentorship Program (CAMP) in the Train the Trainer series through DHS to become an agency trainer for CPP.

Cara has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient mental health setting, as well as having been a mobile crisis assessor in the surrounding five county area. Cara provides outpatient mental health services at Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. with a special interest in individual counseling with SPMI populations, Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum, Traumatic Brain Injury, and young children and their families.
