David Jackson, MSW, LICSW

 

David Jackson is a Mental Health Professional who graduated from The College of St. Scholastica with a Master's in Social Work in 2016. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Superior in 2012.

David is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over a decade of experience working with children and families in various settings. Currently, he serves as an outpatient therapist at our TSA Hillside Avenue office in Pine City, where he provides compassionate and effective counseling services. David utilizes a range of therapeutic techniques to support his clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy. David is certified in EMDR through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), further enhancing his ability to provide specialized trauma treatment to his clients. He employs an Internal Family Systems Therapy approach that integrates seamlessly into EMDR processing (IFS-informed EMDR), offering a comprehensive and effective treatment modality.

In addition to his expertise in IFS and EMDR, David incorporates breathwork into his therapeutic practice as a means of symptom management. He has trained numerous individuals in relaxation techniques utilizing breathwork, empowering clients to harness the power of their breath for emotional regulation and stress reduction.

Having joined TSA in 2015, David has demonstrated his commitment to the organization and community through his versatility and dedication to improving the lives of those he serves. He works with individuals ages 10 and up, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
