Scott Emmons, MA, LP

Scott Emmons is a Mental Health Professional who has a Master of Arts Degree in Education Psychology from the University of MN-Duluth campus. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Humboldt State in Arcata, California.
Scott has professional experience in residential treatment having worked at Northwoods Children’s Services in Duluth with severely emotionally disturbed youth and Mille Lacs Academy, which is a program for sex offending youth. At Therapeutic Services Agency Inc., Scott has provided In-Home Services, Family Based Services, and therapy to children, youth, and families in TSA's Child and Adolescent Treatment Program, and outpatient therapy at the TSA Pine City office for children, teens and adults struggling with a variety of mental health issues. Currently, he works in the Day Treatment program, which is an intensive rehabilitative mental health service for youth. Scott is also providing counseling services to the students at the Alternative Learning Center in Pine City, MN. Scott has completed the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate Program (PACC) in Minnesota and is available to help adoptive families in their family development. He has also completed Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Training (TF-CBT) to help people heal from trauma, and has training as a MAP therapist, which is an evidence- based approach to treat children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, and disruptive behaviors.
