Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. provides Diagnostic Assessment (DA) services and comprehensive Psychological Evaluations to identify mental health concerns, determine treatment needs, establish eligibility for specific services, and support individualized care planning.

Diagnostic Assessments

The Diagnostic Assessment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation that typically includes a face-to-face interview and is generally completed during the initial appointment. Information gathered during the assessment is used to develop diagnostic impressions, identify areas of functional impairment, and guide treatment recommendations. The assessment process may include:

• Review of current concerns, symptoms, and sources of stress
• Collection of developmental, psychosocial, educational, and mental health history
• Identification of individual strengths, coping skills, and areas of challenge
• Mental status examination
• Assessment of safety concerns and risk factors
• Evaluation of the impact of symptoms on daily functioning at home, school, work, and within the community, and development of treatment recommendations and service planning
• Diagnostic conclusions are based on clinical interviews, available records, collateral information when appropriate, and professional clinical judgment. Following the assessment, a written report summarizes findings, identifies areas of need and strength, and includes a DSM-5 diagnosis when clinically indicated. Psychological Evaluations

TSA provides comprehensive psychological evaluations designed to answer specific referral questions, clarify diagnoses, and guide effective treatment and service planning. Evaluations are individualized to each client and follow a multi-method, multi-informant approach — no single test or measure determines a diagnosis. Conclusions integrate clinical interviews, developmental and psychosocial history, behavioral observations, standardized assessment measures, record review, collateral information, and evaluation of functional impairment across settings. Findings are summarized in a comprehensive written report with practical recommendations to support treatment planning, educational programming, workplace accommodations, and access to community resources. Evaluations are offered at our Pine City and Cambridge locations for all ages, and may be requested for diagnostic clarification, ADHD evaluations, autism spectrum disorder evaluations, emotional and behavioral difficulties, executive functioning concerns, treatment recommendations and care planning, accommodation and support needs, and differential diagnosis of complex clinical presentations.
